In short: the dates, weights and other details you enter into our calculators are processed only in your own browser. They are never sent to our servers, stored by us, or shared with anyone.
1. Who we are
This policy applies to pregnancycalculator.in (“Pregnancy Calculator”, “we”, “us”). For any privacy question or request, contact us through our contact page. The email address listed there also serves as our grievance contact for the purposes of Indian law.
2. Information you enter into calculators
All calculations happen locally using JavaScript on your device. We do not receive, log or store your inputs or results. If you use the “Share” feature, your inputs are placed in the web address (URL) that you choose to share – anyone with that link can see them. If you use “Add to calendar”, the file is created on your device.
3. Information collected automatically
Like almost every website, our hosting and security provider (Cloudflare) processes technical information needed to deliver pages and protect the site, such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages requested and timestamps. This is used for security, performance and aggregate statistics, and is not used by us to identify you.
4. Third-party services
- Google Fonts: our typefaces are loaded from Google’s servers, which receive your IP address when fonts are downloaded.
- Advertising (if enabled): we may show ads through Google AdSense in the future. If we do, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings. We will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent before such cookies are used.
- Analytics (if enabled): we may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are useful. These tools do not receive your calculator inputs.
5. Cookies and local storage
We store one small preference in your browser’s local storage – your light/dark theme choice. It never leaves your device. See our cookie policy for more.
6. Email
If you email us, we receive your email address and message and use them only to reply. We keep correspondence only as long as needed and never sell or share it for marketing.
7. Children
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
8. Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India) and, where applicable, other laws such as the GDPR, you may have rights to access, correct and erase personal data we hold about you, to withdraw consent, and to nominate another person to exercise your rights. Because we don’t collect calculator data, we usually hold no personal data about visitors other than email correspondence. Contact us to exercise any right.
9. Security
The site is served only over HTTPS. Because your calculator data never reaches us, it cannot be exposed through a breach of our systems.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
