Our principles
- Evidence first. Content is based on current guidance from recognised bodies – ACOG, WHO, NICE, the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (India), FOGSI – and peer-reviewed research.
- Original writing. Every article is written from scratch by our team. We do not copy or spin content from other websites.
- Plain language. We explain medical terms and avoid jargon wherever possible.
- Balanced and non-alarmist. We describe normal variation, not just worst cases, and always say when to seek care.
- India-relevant. Where Indian practice differs (for example supplementation, glucose testing and government schemes) we explain it.
- Independent. Advertising, if present, never influences our content or calculator results.
How calculators are built and tested
Every formula is taken from a published source and implemented with exact date arithmetic. We test calculators against worked examples – including leap years, month ends, long and short cycles, and IVF transfer types – before publishing, and after every change.
Sources and citations
Pages that make medical statements list their key sources at the bottom. We prefer primary guidelines and systematic reviews over news articles or blogs.
Review and updates
Content is reviewed regularly and whenever major guidance changes. The “updated” date on each page shows the last review.
Corrections
If you spot an error, tell us through our contact page with the page link. We investigate every report and correct confirmed errors promptly.
What we won’t publish
We do not publish gender-prediction tools or content promoting prenatal sex determination, unproven “cures” or products, or anything that could discourage people from seeking medical care.
