1. What is an affiliate link?
An affiliate link is a special tracking link to a product or service on another website (for example an online store in India such as Amazon.in, Flipkart or FirstCry). If you click it and make a purchase, the seller may pay us a small commission. The price you pay stays the same.
2. Affiliate programmes we may participate in
Pregnancy Calculator may participate in affiliate programmes run by online retailers and brands, which may include the Amazon Associates programme and similar programmes. As an Amazon Associate we may earn from qualifying purchases. Where we join a specific programme, we follow its disclosure rules.
3. Sponsored content and paid partnerships
- Sponsored articles, sponsored sections and paid product placements are clearly labelled as “Sponsored” or “In partnership with”.
- Paid and affiliate links carry the
rel="sponsored"attribute, as recommended by Google. - Sponsors never see or approve our medical content in advance, and cannot change calculator formulas or results.
4. How we choose what to mention
We only mention products or services that we believe are relevant and genuinely useful to expectant parents – such as pregnancy pillows, maternity wear, prenatal books or baby essentials. A commission is never the reason for a recommendation, and we will not feature:
- products that claim to predict or influence a baby’s sex;
- infant milk substitutes, feeding bottles or infant foods whose promotion is restricted under India’s IMS Act;
- medicines, supplements or “miracle” fertility products marketed with unproven health claims.
Always talk to your doctor before starting any supplement, medicine or health product during pregnancy – even if it is mentioned on this site.
5. Advertising
We may display advertising (for example through Google AdSense). Ads are chosen by the ad network, not by us, and appearing on this site is not an endorsement. See our privacy policy and cookie policy for how ads may use cookies.
6. Our editorial independence
Our calculators use published medical formulas and our articles follow our editorial policy. Commercial relationships do not influence either. If you ever think we have fallen short of this, please tell us.
