Your baby at 1 weeks
Week 1 is the week of your period. There is no baby yet: pregnancy is dated from the first day of your last period because that date is easy to know, while the day of conception is not. Behind the scenes, rising follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) is waking up a group of follicles in your ovaries, one of which will release this cycle’s egg.
Your body at 1 weeks
Your uterus is shedding last cycle’s lining. As bleeding ends, oestrogen starts rebuilding a fresh, thick lining ready to receive a fertilised egg.

1 weeks pregnant falls in month 1 of pregnancy, in the first trimester. For medical purposes, weeks and days are more precise than months.
How big is my baby at 1 weeks?
At 1 weeks there is no visible embryo yet; pregnancy is counted from your last period, so the first weeks cover ovulation and conception.
Is it normal to have no symptoms at 1 weeks?
Yes. Every pregnancy is different, and symptoms come and go. Feeling well is not a sign that something is wrong. If you have concerns, or notice any warning signs listed on this page, contact your doctor.
